Dalrymple Pinot Noir 2008 wins gold medal at world Pinot competition01 Sep 2009
The Mondial du Pinot Noir (MPN) is one of the major international wine competitions, a reference point in the world of Pinot. It is open to all Pinot producers in the world, with more than 1,100 wines, from 22 countries, participating in 2008. It is a one-of-a-kind competition, for a single variety, but it is rich in strongly different expressions that reflect the many terroirs where the grape is grown. It gives producers a chance to measure their own wines against the best. For consumers, the Mondial du Pinot Noir offers a reliable guide, an assurance that among the winners will be wines they want to buy. (According to decanter.com)
In August 2009, Dalrymple Pinot Noir 2008 was awarded a Gold Medal (1.1 Still reds up to 6.9 gr of residual sugar per litre) at the 2009 MPN.
