The Details

Tasting Note Aromas of fresh black cherries, blueberries, blackberries and hints of five-spice. The palate continues the aromatics with fleshy blue fruits and fine tannins, interwoven with fine spice from whole bunch pressing and French oak, finishing with vibrant fruit and lifted acidity.
Best Enjoyed With Slow-cooked duck breast with sweet and sour blackcurrant jus, served with celeriac puree and roast baby beets, or pad Thai with coriander and roasted peanuts.
Treatment Natural fermentation commenced after three days and the must was plunged twice daily. The wine was pressed and placed into French oak barriques for ten months.

Accolades

Sweet spices and earthy notes
There’s a leafy edge to the nose with sweet spices and earthy notes, too. This is quite complex and has tobacco and fresh mushrooms, too. The palate has a very open-knit feel with cherry cola to close. From organically farmed grapes. Drink or hold. Screw cap.

The palate has a long silky tannin finish exuding freshness
This stunner with 95 points carries flavours of Asian spices with some cinnamon and cloves supported by sour cherries, blood plum flesh and rose petals. The savoury notes develop over 3- 4 hours of opening with riper fruit flavours. The palate has a long silky tannin finish exuding freshness from a fine acid line, that allows complexity to build over the next 8-12 years if well cellared. Enjoy this delight with a Kangaroo fillet along with a warm beetroot salad.
