Single Site Bicheno Pinot Noir

Brooding aromas of black plum skins, fruitcake spice and warm rhubarb crumble provide the impression of a wine with depth and concentration, and one that has been sourced from a warmer vineyard site. The palate carries these characters with a hint of peat smoke, but is restrained by a firm tannin structure and fine acid line. With 4-5 hours opening time, some dried thyme, oregano and earthy notes develop, and provide complexity to the long finish. While in its youth (up to 5 years) we would advise to open and decant and leave for 4-5 hours. Expect it to build in complexity if cellared well, through to 2021.
