E-Gift Card Terms and Conditions


What brands can I purchase with the E-Gift card?   

You can purchase across all our wine brands!*  

  • *All E-Gift cards purchased on Smith’s Wine Store can be redeemed to purchase across all Smiths Wine Store brands that are present on the ecommerce store, including Jansz Tasmania, Dalrymple Vineyards, Oxford Landing, Pewsey Vale Vineyard and Heggies Vineyard. 
  • This includes all domestic wines listed on Smith’s Wine Store, including Running with Bulls, earthworks, the Vegan Wine Project and many more. 
  • E-Gift Cards purchased from Jansz Tasmania, Dalrymple, Pewsey Vale, Heggies Vineyard and Oxford Landing websites are also included, and work across all wines. 


How much can I purchase an E-Gift card for?   

E-Gift cards are available between $20-$500. 


How do I redeem an E-Gift card?   

To redeem your E-Gift card provide the number code during the checkout process.  

  • E-Gift cards cannot be redeemable for cash or credit, and no change will be given. 
  • Unredeemed value will not be converted to cash. Unredeemed value can be used on future purchases. 
  • If the amount of your online E-Gift card does not cover the total order amount, you will need to pay the remainder of the purchase with a valid credit card. 


How do I check an E-Gift card balance?

Can I refund an E-Gift card? 

No refunds are permitted for E-Gift cards. 


Can I use my E-Gift card in the Wine Room of Cellar Door?  

E-Gift cards cannot be redeemed in the physical wine room or cellar door. This includes Jansz Wine Room. They are to be used online only.  


Can I use my E-Gift card to purchase Jansz and Dalrymple Wine Room (or cellar door) experiences through Rezdy?  

E-Gift cards cannot be redeemed on Rezdy, a third party website used to purchase wine room experiences. If you would like to purchase a wine room experience as a gift, please contact us directly. Customer Us.  


Can I use my E-Gift card at an event hosted by Smith’s Wine Store or associated brands?  

E-Gift cards cannot be redeemed in person at events. They can only be redeemed online through the website.  


How will I receive my E-Gift Card? 

You will receive your E-Gift Card through digitally through email, you will not receive a physical copy in the post.  


I haven’t received my E-Gift card 

If you have confirmed the recipient's email address but the E-Gift Card has not been received, this may be due to: 

  1. The email is blocked by a spam filter or routed to a junk/spam folder. 
  2. Recipient's firewall blocked the email. 
  3. Email inbox is full as it has exceeded its size limit.  
  4. Invalid email address or spelling error in the email address.  
  5. If you are having trouble please contact Customer Service, with your order number, and/or email address ready.  


Can I add a message to the E-Gift Card?  

If you wish to add a personal message, simply type your message in the message field. Personal messages are limited in length to the space provided. There is no additional charge to include a personalised message.  


Lost or stolen E-Gift Cards 

E-Gift cards are to be treated like cash. If lost or stolen they cannot be replaced. 

  • If you suspect that someone has copied or stolen your E-Gift Card, contact Customer Service immediately. Cards will not be replaced if lost or stolen without the purchaser's confirmation email as proof of purchase. Smith’s Wine Store will not be liable for redeemed E-Gift Cards if they have been stolen.  


Ownership and risk of loss of E-Gift Cards passes to the purchaser as soon as we send our confirmation to the recipient. We are not responsible for lost or stolen E-Gift Cards. 



You may not use an E-Gift Card to purchase other E-Gift Cards. 
E-Gift Cards cannot be reloaded, resold, transferred for value, or redeemed for cash, except to the extent required by law.  

E-Gift Cards Cannot be used in the physical wine room or cellar door. They are for online purchases through the website only.

Has my E-Gift Card Expired? 

E-Gift cards remain valid for three years from date of purchase, in accordance with the ‘The Australian Consumer Law’ three year minimum expiry on gift cards.  


Limitation of liability 

To the maximum extent permitted by law, subject to applicable consumer protection provisions, Smith’s Wine Store will not be liable for claims or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with your purchase of the E-Gift Card. This applies to all damages of any kind, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, punitive or consequential damages, loss of data, income or profit, loss of or damage to property and claims of third parties. 


Are E-Gift Cards included in promotions?

The purchase of E-Gift Cards are not included in promotions, and do not count towards your total for order or shipping discounts. All relevant promotions to your order will apply when redeeming your E-Gift Card.
